hi, uniform team.
considering a portable apache server. been using xampp but looking at uniform server also. would be nice to quickly know what components are in the server distributions, eg apache 2.2.whatever and php5.whatever and so on. Frankly, I'd like to know before I install and try. Too many complexities to this stuff. Please state your implementation components in each distribution, and before download, as you have repeatedly been asked to do. Please? It will help people who are considering using your product/distro, and it makes a more professional and open distro. With respect. Thank you.

They are forks and they also know. Dont worry... just cause you dont dont mean they dont. MSAS, JSAS, and XSAS all give credit.. But this is the past.. don't Worry...

There are some things you dont know that we do and what you dont see does not mean its not a fork because of that.

HI. I tried our the original version of your product today, and although the concept is nice, the fact that there is not an easy way to deal with the port conflict issue is a major drawback. maybe the server_start.bat should be server_start.bat [apache_port=] [mysql_port = ]. Maybe even suggest port numbers that are free? If a person is moving from machine to machine to available ports are going to change.

As for the forks ... I took a look at them, because I could not deal with the port issue easily. Most of them are just a WAMP version with another application. That is not a fork. That is using your product to create another product. In other words, jumbo, glossword, etc. don't belong in your application. At least not as is ... maybe as an option to install, but that would involve creating a GUI installer. The only one that looked like it might be a port is VertrigoServ, but that one is not built based on your product. You use a virtual linux layout. That product uses actual windows ports.

Maybe all of the above products changed to basing their products on other products, because right now they are not forks of yours.
