3.3 & mod_security
December 20th, 2005 | Development, Packages, Plug-Ins, Uniform Server
Well just to give you an update on 3.3, its planned to come out on December 25, 2005 as a christmas gift. We could not figure out the problem with phpMyAdmin 2.7.0-pl1 on IE but we know that it works perfect on FireFox. On IE, you may have to reload the page/frame before the style is in use for some reason… don’t ask us, we asked and asked around and no one knows what the problem is also and it is not the Uniform Server because 2.6.4 works perfect.Since it works perfect on FireFox, the only problem i can see is IE. Stilling looking into it till the release date/hoping a new version comes out before then.
Introducing mod_security
To even improve on the already tight security in the Uniform Server, we are working on adding mod_security to the Uniform Server. Currently we are not sure on either we are going to add it to the package, or make it a plugin but we will let you know. Please know that when we say “adding to the package” we mean something like 3.4+ and not the upcoming 3.3
After the release of 3.3 we are going to start working on the installers of the other plugins we have developed (Tomcat, Resin …) while working on this.
We will keep you updated on whats happening.
Best Regards,
