Well just to give you an update on 3.3, its planned to come out on December 25, 2005 as a christmas gift. We could not figure out the problem with phpMyAdmin 2.7.0-pl1 on IE but we know that it works perfect on FireFox. On IE, you may have to reload the page/frame before the style is in use for some reason… don’t ask us, we asked and asked around and no one knows what the problem is also and it is not the Uniform Server because 2.6.4 works perfect.Since it works perfect on FireFox, the only problem i can see is IE. Stilling looking into it till the release date/hoping a new version comes out before then.

Introducing mod_security
To even improve on the already tight security in the Uniform Server, we are working on adding mod_security to the Uniform Server. Currently we are not sure on either we are going to add it to the package, or make it a plugin but we will let you know. Please know that when we say “adding to the package” we mean something like 3.4+ and not the upcoming 3.3 After the release of 3.3 we are going to start working on the installers of the other plugins we have developed (Tomcat, Resin …) while working on this.

We will keep you updated on whats happening.

Well i am finalizing Admin Panel 2.0 and also the whole server, while working on the plugins and upgrading the packager to NSIS Installer. I have also updated the Documentation and working on the Admin Panel Wiki Documentation. I should be upgrading the Wiki System soon and also finishing the beta version of the Beta Center.

I will try and call Germany again when i get home this weekend and try and see if i can talk to Taras about what is going on and our plans for the next release. To those who do not know, my graduation is this Wednesday, May 25, 2005 so if you anywhere near GA during this period you have to come! It is at Berkmar High School @ 7:00PM!

This summer is going to be a real busy summer for me also because i will be traveling around the country and doing a lot of things/working so i have no idea how things will be going.

MrX and I are working on the wiki and are adding content to it day by day. From tutorials on how to make plugins for The Uniform Server to how to install things that can be integrated into the Uniform Server.

I am also working on the Plugin Scripts, but lately, i am preparing for prom and graduation. Graduation is not a problem, but what will happen after it. I have no idea where i will be by June. I am also being tied up by Love. I can’t seem to find a date for prom because most of the girls i like have been taken or have boyfriends… damn it.. The daily life of a programmer.. being shy caused it all, or i would have had a date, but because of shyness i delayed asking the girl i would really love to go with, and now she is taken.

Well, i will get o you guys back later when all things have cooled down. Please, if you can also join us in the IRC channel. It is irc.freenode.net/uniserver. We would love to see everyone there. If you visit the website everyday, you will notice that some things have been changed, some updated, and some still there.
We have been updating the website since last week, and we are also working on the wiki system. We will be updating the wiki and filling it with more articles. We will be adding more articles to the system this whole week and we encourage users to add articles that they feel are relate to the Uniform Server.
We are also working on the Resin 3 Plugin, Python 2.4.1 Plugin, and the Tomcat Plugin which is now Tomcat 5 instead of 4.

As you can see we are very very busy. 3.3 is coming soon and it will be unannounced. Watch out! We are also working on the member section of the main site so please check there for new things. When it is finished, members will be able to check for updates and new things without having to go to other sections of the website.
